Depletion of Natural Resources
I believe collectively, we as humans are slowly depleting the resources on Earth. You can say that the Earth's natural resources can never be exhausted. Whether that is true or not doesn't matter at this point. What matters more is the quality of one of the most important resources, water. Supply may be inexhaustible, but is that water clean? It is becoming harder and harder to find clean spring water. The pollution and toxicity leaching into our natural water supply is something that we need to really be concerned with. The chemicals dumped into our municipal water supply is poisoning us. It is something that I don't think there is a solution to at the moment.

Reading about cell biology and the history of cell theory has been an interesting topic. What interests me is the understanding the ancients had without understanding cells and the cell theory. Perhaps when they spoke of possession, they were really talking about bacterial or viral infections in the body. Perhaps that is a form of spirit possession. Perhaps that was the way the ancients described entity possessions. After all, even the bugs have their own consciousness/spirit, right? Weaving and finding a bridge between ancient and modern science is beneficial now because that is the language we speak. Who knows.

I found the discussion on the Placebo Effect article very interesting. I think the power of the mind in healing is a very important factor that is often overlooked. Since M.D's have prescribed and continue to prescribe "sugar pills," I assume they understand, to some extent, the power of the mind. And if that assumption is correct, perhaps studies should focus on the power of the mind, and study the science of the mind in traditional Western Medical Programs. But of course, this would never happen because there is no money to be made.
